Congratulations on starting your 30-day free trial. We’re excited to have you on board! Getting started is quick and easy—there’s nothing to download or install.
Here is what you should expect next
- Within the next 10 minutes you will receive a trial activation email
- Please wait for the trial activation email to arrive—do not submit another trial request while we’re setting things up
- Set up SSO and 2FA (except if you are an existing N‑able user)
- If you don’t receive your activation email, check your spam folder for messages from [email protected]
- Use the chat (where available) or call us at +1-855-679-0817 for additional help
Once you have your login credentials, we recommend you:
- Add a customer
- Deploy a device
- Onboard a Microsoft 365 domain
- Configure a recovery location
- Enable recovery testing
- When you hear from one of our specialists, set up time to review your deployment and dive deeper into Cove

Your 30-day trial gives you full access to all the features of Cove Data Protection for an unlimited number of customers, devices, and data sources. These features include:
- Virtual or physical server backup
- Windows, Mac, or Linux workstation backup
- Microsoft 365 Exchange, OneDrive, and SharePoint backup
- Automated recovery testing
- The tools to create a standby server with continuous restore
- Customizable views and reports
Once you’ve logged into Cove Data Protection and added at least one device, follow these steps to try the recovery testing feature:
- Go to the recovery testing overview dashboard
- Select Add to Plan
- Choose whether you want testing to be performed automatically every 30 days or 14 days
- Select the devices you wish to test
- Verify your credentials for those devices
- Accept the terms, and start testing
We’ll check in throughout the next 30 days to let you know how much time you have left in your free trial, and to provide some helpful resources along the way. If you haven’t purchased Cove Data Protection within the 30 days, you’ll receive an email notification that your trial has expired.
